How to remove the Z Head

Firstly, safely shutdown the power of the SmartBench. Click here to learn how.

Then slide the Z Head at the far end of the Upper X Beam.

Remove both the signal and power cables of the Z Head by unscrewing the thumbscrew.

A: Signal cable

B: Power cable

Also remove the latch plates on both sides of the Z Head by unscrewing the thumbscrew.

C: Latch plates

Lay both the cables flat as shown in the picture

And slide the Z Head backwards to remove it.

Reassemble Z Head
