Understanding Z Head LED status

< Previous | List |

Green LED status

Green LEDs indicate that the status is good, and that no action needs to be taken.

Yellow LED status

Yellow LED indicates that SmartBench needs to be homed.

Orange LED status

Orange LEDs indicate that the homing process is underway.

White LED status

The LED is white when the user is manually moving SmartBench in the Z axis, or setting the Z datum using the probe plate.

White LEDs will also show during alarms.

Red LED status

Red LEDs indicate that there has been a problem, and the operator needs to take action to resume SmartBench.

The red LEDs may be static or flashing:

  • Static red light indicates that there was a GCode error. The job will be cancelled.

  • Flashing red light indicates that the stop bar has been hit. The job can be resumed from the console.

The LEDs will not reset to green until the job has finished or been cancelled.

Blue LED and laser crosshair

The Blue LED and laser crosshair will show when you are using the console to carry out manual moves, so that you can easily and accurately position the XY datum.

You will need to set up the laser offset in order to use the crosshair to set datums.
